Gary James McQueen's first solo show in the U.S
Opening on March 2, 2024, the exhibition takes over the gallery’s space in Austin, Texas showcasing nineteen never-before-seen works at the intersection of art, technology, and fashion.
Gary James McQueen provides a multi-dimensional experience that invites visitors into a macabre yet romantic environment dominated by digitally sculpted skulls, ethereal floral still lifes, and humanoid figures. In his most ambitious project to date, 'Gary James McQueen' investigates the transformative power of technology when juxtaposed with artistic vision and purpose while exploring the relationship between humans and nature. Gary James McQueen also celebrates family heritage and the artist’s significant contributions to the fashion world, spotlighting his formative relationship with his uncle, the legendary fashion designer Alexander Lee McQueen.

Talisman Skulls
Talisman (noun)
An object believed to bring good luck or keep its owner safe from harm
The Talisman Skull series was unveiled at Art Miami in December 2023 to critical and commercial success. Building on the success of Eternal Bloom, Talisman is a new series of exotic skulls presented as 3D lenticulars.
Talisman speaks not just to a gifted instinct for melancholic romance, but also to Gary James McQueen’s history of family addiction, domestic violence and tragic early bereavement. The intricate and immersive works draw the viewer in, illuminating beauty in the mystical, macabre and romantic.
"For this series I took inspiration from Tibetan culture and in particular how skulls are repositioned as a symbol of good fortune. I have chosen a range of ornate materials and features to complement a variety of aesthetics and settings."

Botanic Kingdom
A still life that is anything but still.
Bursting with beauty, Botanic Kingdom allows the viewer to escape through a portal to a shimmering botanical habitat and floral bouquet. By taking a traditional artistic subject matter and applying pioneering technologies, Gary James McQueen has created an immersive and brilliant commentary on art history and his place within it.
Botanic Kingdom is available in three colour hues: gold, antique silver and gunmetal.

Human Nature
This new series is a successor to the iconic Vanitas Skull, encapsulating the inherent connection between humans and nature. Veins depicted as vines, bloom in out and of view in this transient collection of artworks, celebrating the human form akin to Adam and Eve.
Four individual artworks are available - Tree of Life (Male), Tree of Life (Female), The Laws of Nature and The Thinker. Available in gold, variations of the Tree of Life and The Laws of Nature are also available in antique silver edition

Golden Icons
"Alexander McQueen"
This new series alludes to the ancient Egyptian's practice of celebrating and immortalising the pharaohs of their time.
The Golden Icons series does the same with legendary personalities from the worlds of fashion, music, film and sport.
The series launches with Lee Alexander McQueen.
"This image of Alexander McQueen was created from a photograph I took in 2009 in his studio. This image was then reconstructed using sculpting software to create a 3D digi-double."
